The first phase of MKTplace, presented local culinary vendors with a strong platform for entrepreneurship and provided proof-of-concept, establishing a “third place” blending a local gathering place with a culinary pop-up market, arts, entertainment and community events.
UM’s team, including the Seasons Farm Fresh management team and G7 metal fabricators, is now working on permitting for a new, larger site for the market where the original Goombay Plaza vendors and other local culinary startups will be housed in modified shipping containers with a stage, restrooms, parking and enhanced public space.
